Model Router has two operational surfaces: the routing policy on Overview and billing mode on Settings.
Controls
Routing policy applies at the workspace level. Record the current mode and billing path before changing either.
Change policy safely
- Announce the change window.
- Record the current policy and billing mode.
- Select Balanced or Eco.
- Run one representative task.
- Confirm the session, selected models, cost, and savings.
- Keep the direct provider path ready.
When routing reaches a limit
A depleted Proxy balance or routing limit can pause new routed requests. Check the balance, auto top-up state, payment method, and recent transactions.
Auto top-up moves money automatically. Confirm the threshold, amount, payment owner, and expected maximum spend before enabling it.
Pause or roll back
Use the Active toggle for an operational pause. Use the CLI rollback when you need to restore the coding agent’s direct provider path:
